Tangal Beatz is a Tunisian-born DJ who has lived in Dakar since 2012. After playing in most Dakar nightlife venues, he created the Favela evenings in 2019. He invites the capital's best DJs for an eclectic mix that has a no less eclectic audience dancing until dawn. Passionate about music and collecting cassettes since his adolescence, he has collected them continuously during his many trips to the sub-region (Côte d'Ivoire, Mali, Niger, Chad) and of course in Tunisia, his native country. It offers a new musical rendezvous around this mythical object which, like vinyl, is gradually regaining the hearts of music lovers. Mix of live cassettes, good sound (Super Diamono de Dakar, Omar Pene, Souleymane Faye, Congolese rumba, raï and Cape Verdean sounds…), with a retro and festive device.
