Buruntuma is not just the name of a small village in Guinea-Bissau, in fact it is also the name of a DJ who is currently causing a stir in the Portuguese Afro house scene. Traditional music from his native Guinea-Bissau is one of his central elements. Buruntuma has long since arrived in the Portuguese diaspora, but now he also wants to accommodate the music of his West African homeland on the global dancefloors.
